Hi, I'm Jessica. Your Personal Genealogy Detective

I know how it feels to wonder about your ancestors and their lives.

My own quest began with finding the couple who gave my grandfather up for adoption.

After busting through that brick wall, then helping a friend find her family's hometown in England, I realized I not only have a passion for uncovering the past…

My brain and my heart are built for this work.

After tracing my family lines back to the 1600s, I got my Master of Library and Information Science degree, and I'm a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the National Genealogical Society.

With 20+ years of genealogy experience, I love assisting clients with projects like:

  • tracing immigrant ancestors back to their original birth surnames

  • finding tiny hometowns in Norway and The Netherlands

  • using DNA to identify a client's grandfather

My research specialties are Hawaii, New England, and Quebec genealogy, but I support clients who live all over the U.S.

Every client starts here. This experience includes:

  • Five hours of my time and expertise where I complete:
    • Extensive research online and at repositories like libraries, archives, and courthouses
  • Thorough reviews of any information you already have
  • A detailed written report, with analysis of findings that includes:
    • Recommendations for further research to continue your genealogy journey
    • Copies, abstracts, and/or extracts of relevant documents found in the search

Here's how I do your Dig:

I read each record with a fine-toothed comb, including the sections most people skip.

I seek out the details people skim past, finding patterns across documents, and putting together the clues that point somewhere new… Because that's where answers to your questions actually live*.
